How Braidz IQ makes money

1. Monthly subscription

Free, $29/mo (Pro), or $79/mo (Elite). Unlocks features, search placement, and tools.

2. New Client Fee — 20% flat

Charged only once, on the first booking with a customer the Match Engine introduces. Every booking after that is fee-free, forever.

3. Optional Boost listings

$15–$50/week to appear at the top of your city's search. Pay only when you want extra visibility.

We never take a cut of your service revenue. Customers pay you directly via your preferred method (Zelle, CashApp, PayPal, card reader, or cash).

The 20% New Client Fee — explained

One fee. First booking only. Then $0 forever.

What it is

When our Match Engine sends you a customer you have never booked before, Braidz IQ charges a flat 20% of that first appointment total. It is itemized on your monthly statement and pulled from your card on file the day after the appointment.

When it does NOT apply

  • • Repeat clients (any booking after the first) — $0
  • • Walk-ins or customers who already follow you — $0
  • • Customers you bring to the platform yourself — $0
  • • Canceled or refunded first bookings — $0

Quick example

The Match Engine sends Aisha — a new customer — for a $220 set of knotless braids.

  • • Aisha places a $25 refundable deposit through Stripe to lock the slot.
  • • On appointment day she pays you the remaining $195 directly (Zelle / cash / your card reader).
  • • Braidz IQ charges your card the 20% intro fee = $44 the next day.
  • • Your net on this first booking: $176.
  • • Aisha rebooks next month → $0 fee, full $220 is yours.
